What is the most common issue we all face when trying to schedule an important meeting, involving senior management? They are all extremely busy. And creative professionals are not an exemption. Last minute meetings, shootings, and unscheduled briefings result in the constant need for rescheduling and cancellations.
That’s why two University of Lincoln students, Shannon Cripps and Bethany Wood, faced with the problem of booking crits with industry chiefs, came up with the brilliant idea- to offer their later a free ride in exchange for the feedback on their portfolio.
They turned to Gett with this idea and we were happy to provide the free black cab rides to Bethany and Shannon to help fulfill their goals.
So far they have taken on a ride Ana and Hermeti Balarin, the creative executives at Mother London, Chris Bovill, the co-head of The Firepit at Warner Music, Elliott and Laura from Drum, as well, as Robert Greaves from Grey.
Not only did the students carry out their excellent plan, but also followed up with the bits of advice they got from the creatives and improved their book while working on their “homework” at Gett offices.
It was a pleasure to help young creative professionals to implement their remarkable initiative.
